Campo, California is officially up for sale! Yes, that's right...the entire town.

According to The Hill, the historic town is located in "southeastern San Diego County," just one mile from the Mexican border. Top Gun Commercial Real Estate broker Joseph Barela, who is involved in the sale of the town, noted its popularity among influential individuals.

“We had a movie producer, we had Tony Hawk interested at one point.” Campo boasts "16 acres of land and 92,000 square feet of building property" and has been on the market since 2019 (being sold for $5.5 million five years ago). The town is currently owned by John Ray who has been in possession of Campo since the early 2000s.

The town is currently on the market for $6.6 million and houses 100 residents. The Hill mentioned that Ray hopes to pass the town on to an owner who has a "vision for its future" and its residents. Barela shared additional information regarding the current tenant status of Campo.

“Border Patrol rents a commercial building there. I have got six other commercial tenants as well. There are 28 residential units spread out across 21 residential buildings.” Campo resident Michael Hoffner also wants to see the town flourish, and was sure to communicate its best features.

“It’s pretty nice. It’s a lot quieter than in town. You don’t get the hustle and bustle. You get to sleep peacefully, and you get to see the stars out here.”

Tony Martinez, another Campo native, praised the town for its "surroundings and wildlife," among other desirable traits.
