Jo Dee Messina Reacts To 'The Voice' Artist's Rendition Of Her 90s Anthem

Jo Dee Messina shared her reaction to a contestant on The Voice covering one of her biggest 90s hits during the beloved NBC competition show’s season finale.

Messina posted a clip of The Voice singer Karen Waldrup performing “I’m Alright” on Instagram on Tuesday morning (May 21). The “Heads Carolina, Tails California” star wrote in her caption on Instagram: “Wow [Karen Waldrup]! What a great job on [The Voice]!” Waldrup responded in the comments: “It was an honor ❤️”

Waldrup took the stage with the late 90s anthem during The Voice finale on Monday night (May 20). Hailing from Mandeville, Louisiana, Waldrup competed on Team Dan + Shay on Season 25 of The Voice. Shay Mooney said in a video shared to Dan + Shay’s Instagram page on Monday that “Karen deserves to win this. She has worked so hard, and we watched her grow through this entire process. She wants this more than anybody else, and she deserves it.”
