Juicy J shocked fans with a surprise project.

On Tuesday, May 21, the Memphis native released his new LP Mental Trillness 2 via his Trippy Music imprint. The sequel to last year's Mental Trillness comes with 16 fresh tracks including his recent hit "Sukihana" featuring the Miami rapper and "Money Flippa" featuring his older brother Project Pat. The project also holds other collaborations with Xavier Wulf and idontknowjeffrey. Juicy J announced the project's arrival just hours before it hit DSP's. He debuted the album cover, which is a painting by Caitlyn Mwenifumbo, along with the tracklist in an Instagram post.

Mental Trillness 2 is one of several projects Juicy J has prepared for 2024. Following the release of his book "Chronicles of the Juice Man," the Three 6 Mafia rapper told fans about his plans to drop seven albums in one year.

“I got about 7 albums I’m dropping 2024 I never worked this hard in my life,” he wrote on Twitter. “after this I’m gonna buy a house on the beach let my hair grow all the way out & become a full time hippie ya dig?”
