Mars Petcare US is voluntarily recalling over 300 bags of Pedigree dog food because they may contain loose metal pieces.

The Food and Drug Administration said the recall covers 44-pound bags of Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor Dry Dog sold by Walmart.

The bags were sold both in-store and online.

The 315 bags included in the recall are marked with lot code 410B2TXT02, which can be found on the back of the bag. They also have a best-by date of March 4, 2025.

The FDA said there have been no reports of illness or injury due to the recalled bags of dog food.

If you have the recalled dog food, stop using it immediately and contact Mars Petcare US consumer care at 1-800-525-5273 to initiate a return.

Mars Petcare US also advised consumers to monitor their dogs for any unusual symptoms and contact their local veterinarian if they have any concerns.
