news crew from WTMJ in Wisconsin captured a wild scene while reporting on a recent shooting in a Milwaukee neighborhood. Journalist Kaylee Staral was interviewing a woman on the street about the deadly shooting when they were startled by a loud screech as somebody slammed on their brakes.

Seconds later, a silver sedan can be seen losing control and slamming into a parked minivan on the other side of the road. The force of the crash caused the minivan to hit an unmarked police car parked behind it.

The driver of the sedan, which was reported stolen, jumped out of the vehicle and fled the scene. Bystanders rushed over to help the passenger in the sedan, who was injured in the crash.

The camera operator briefly followed the driver as he fled the scene on foot before returning to the scene and filming as bystanders tended to the 16-year-old passenger.

The Milwaukee Police Department said that a 57-year-old man was sitting in the minivan and was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. The 16-year-old was also taken to the hospital before they were taken into custody.

Officials said they are still searching for the driver

WTMJ said they turned over the video footage to police and are cooperating with the investigation.
