4 South Carolina Eateries Named Among America's 'Top 100 BBQ Spots' In 2024

It's nearly summertime, which means barbecue season is nearly upon us, and nothing compliments long summer days surrounded by family and friends better than piling up a plate full of all your barbecue favorites.

Yelp recently compiled a list of the Top 100 Barbecue Spots in 2024, finding the absolute best BBQ joints around the country that are worth stopping by to sample smoky meats, flavorful sauces and delicious sides that are out of this world. Among the list are four restaurants found around South Carolina:

• No. 51: Swig & Swine (Charleston)
• No. 69: The Smokin' Pig (Pendleton)
• No. 81: The Dixie Pig Rock Hill (Rock Hill)
• No. 91: Smoky Dreams Barbecue and Catering (Greenville)

Of the four South Carolina eateries on the list, Swig & Swine ranked the highest. According to one Yelp reviewer, this joint, which has a 4.5 star rating and over 1,600 reviews, is an "amazing barbecue spot" with "tender delicious and wonderful" brisket as well as "excellent" service from staff and "perfect" options for outdoor dining.
