Brothers Osborne’s John Osborne and his wife, singer-songwriter Lucie Silvas, released a collaboration on Friday (May 23) that will appear on the children’s album Growin’ Up Country Vol. 2 next month.

“Workin’ on a Beautiful Song” is the first single from the upcoming collection. Osborne and Silvas both said they agreed to team up on a song for the project after welcoming twins Arthur and Maybelle in March 2023. Silvas said shortly after welcoming the babies that they “have changed our lives in ways I can’t possibly describe. All I can do is cry with happiness and amazement. …Very grateful and can’t wait to all come home together, as a family.”

“Two years ago, you wouldn’t have been able to convince me I’d be a part of a children’s music project, but once my and Lucie’s twins came along it was a no brainer,” Osborne said via PEOPLE. “Kids do change everything!”

Silvas added in a statement: “I love being part of this original project, and having the chance for my twins to have their parents on a song together means a lot to us. Music is such an essential way to communicate with children. They feel it in their bodies before anything else, and it's wonderful to be part of child development in this way."

Growin’ Up Country Vol. 2 will also include tracks by Runaway June, High Valley and more. The first volume made its debut in 2023, including Brett Young, Mickey Guyton, RaeLynn and other artists on the project.

  1. Hey Y’all Hey – Twinnie
  2. Put A Smile On – Runaway June
  3. Workin’ on a Beautiful Song – Lucie Silvas & John Osborne
  4. Dream Up – Jaden Michaels
  5. Big Feelings – High Valley
  6. Raised That Way – Kasey Tyndall
  7. Let’s Go, Let’s Go – Lenny Pey
  8. These are the Days – Andrew Jannakos
  9. Alive – Kelleigh Bannen
  10. Like A Butterfly – Sarahbeth Taite

Having kids is like the most eye-opening thing in the world, because you realize that you’ve been working for yourself for so long, for your own good,” Osborne previously said, per his record label. “Now everything I think of now is, ‘how do I provide better for them? How do I make sure their lives are great?’ It completely flips. Your brain goes that way. You’re a provider now.

“But I will say having kids, it makes me a little less patient with other people now than I used to be, because like I feel protective, like every decision now is going to affect them,” he added. “And I have said this a lot in the last few years, I do struggle with a bit of anxiety and one of the problems in our world and just like in society in general, is being present, but when I’m with those kids, I have no anxiety. They teach me every day about being present and being just the simple things in life, you know? When I look at them and I see them smile, I don’t think about how much the bus is going to cost this year, and this budget and where’s our song on the radio and what’s happening. I don’t care. I’m like this is the most amazing thing ever. So, it is honestly the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me. Period.”

Growin’ Up Country Vol. 2 arrives on June 28.
