Sean Kingston's mother has been released from jail just days after a SWAT team raided her son's home in Florida.

According to a report TMZ published on Monday, May 27, Janice Turner posted a $160,000 bail over the holiday weekend to ensure her release from jail. A judge had to approve the source of the bail money to ensure it wasn't obtained illegally. The 61-year-old made the payment on Friday, but officially stepped outside a Broward County jail on Sunday evening. Turner is facing eight counts in total including conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft and identity theft.

When the raid first went down last week, Kingston had already been facing lawsuits over debts for a massive home entertainment system worth $150,000 and two high-end watches worth over $900,000. Now police allege both Kingston and his mother swiped nearly $500,000 worth of jewelry, $160,000 from a car dealer and a customized bed worth $86,000 within a six-month period. Authorities also accused them of stealing $200,000 from Bank of America and $100,000 from First Republic.

Turner and her son Sean were apprehended by police on the same day. The "Beautiful Girls" singer was not home when police searched his home and removed numerous items. At the time, he was on the other side of the country to perform at a gig on an U.S. Army base in Southern California. Police arrested him once his set was over. Kingston spent the holiday weekend behind bars at a San Bernardino County jail and is expected to have his extradition hearing today before he returns to South Florida.

Kingston has not directly addressed his charges, but he did make a statement about his mother's arrested last week. He posted it to his Instagram Stories on the same day as the raid. It was the last post he made before he was arrested himself.

“People love negative energy!" he wrote. "I am good and so is my mother! My lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”
