Tom Brady Reveals Regret From NFL Career

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady said that he became too serious during his legendary football career in a recently resurfaced clip from his appearance on The Pivot Podcast with former NFL players Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder earlier this year.

“What I would have changed was, OK , there’s part of me that still loves … You see these young players. I see, like, Patrick [Mahomes] out there at quarterback, laughing, having fun,” Brady said. “I’m like, ‘I used to be like that!’ What the hell happened to me? I just got too serious."

Brady said he plans to take a different approach in his "next phase of life," which includes his upcoming role as FOX Sports' lead NFL in-game analyst.

"So you just learn from it and go, 'OK, now next phase in life, enjoy it a little bit,'" Brady said.

Brady recently appeared in the booth during the second quarter of FOX Sports' UFL Championship Game broadcast alongside play-by-play man Curt Menefee and analyst Joel Klatt. The San Mateo native joined the network as part of a deal that was agreed to take place following the conclusion of his playing career, having taken a gap year to spend time with his family and prepare for the job.

Brady is the NFL's all-time passing leader for yards and touchdowns, as well as quarterback wins, among numerous other records.
