Trinity Rodman scored the game-winning extra-time goal to advance the United States Women's National Soccer Team to the semifinal round of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday (August 3).
The USWNT defeated Japan, 1-0, after Rodman scored in the 107th minute of play. The 22-year-old is the youngest player to ever score an extra-time goal for the USWNT and has scored three goals in the first four games of her Olympic debut.
Rodman, the daughter of Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, scored the United States' first goal in its pre-opening ceremony 3-0 win against Zambia and in the 43rd minute of a 2-1 Group B stage win against Australia to advance to the knockout round on Wednesday (July 31).
