Scottie Scheffler Wins Gold At Paris Olympics

World No. 1 golfer and two-time Masters champion Scottie Scheffler won gold in the men's individual stroke play event at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday (August 4).

Scheffler, 28, shot a flawless 9-under during the final round Sunday to finish at 19-under for the four-day tournament. Tommy Fleetwood of Great Britain finished at 18-under to take silver and Hideki Matsuyama of Japan finished at 17-under to take bronze.

Scheffler became the first golfer in history to win an Olympic gold medal while ranked No. 1 overall. The full top 10 for the men's individual stroke play event is included below:

Scheffler is in the middle of the most eventful year of his career having won his second Masters Tournament in three years, which was among seven PGA wins, as well as becoming a father for the first time and being arrested outside the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club for an incident involving a police officer at a crime scene, which the Louisville Police Department eventually dropped.
