Simone Biles, the most decorated American gymnast in history, medaled in her final event of the 2024 Paris Olympics, bringing her career total to 11 medals won across three Olympics games.
Biles, 27, took silver in the women's floor exercise final with a score of 14.133. Brazil's Rebeca Andrade won gold with a score of 14.166 while USA teammate Jordan Chiles took bronze with a score of 13.766 after a score change.
Biles fell short of medaling in the women's balance beam final earlier in the day after falling off the apparatus at the end of her routine, resulting in a score of 13.100, which tied teammate Suni Lee as the United States was left off the podium in the event for the first time since the 2000 Sydney Olympics. The 27-year-old won gold in all three of her previous events, the women's team final, the women's individual vault final and the women's individual all-around final, becoming the first American to ever the event win twice, having previously won the all-around during her Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.
