Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson's Home Burglarized: Report

Famous celebrity couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson reportedly faced a scary situation at home when their California estate was recently burglarized.

According to a new report from TMZ, law enforcement sources claim the Los Angeles home shared by the Forrest Gump star and Sleepless in Seattle actress was burglarized a few weeks ago when alleged thieves shattered a glass in broad daylight to get into the guest house on their property, setting off an alarm but still getting into the building. It was reported, however, that the burglars did not get into the main house on the property. It's unclear what, if anything, was stolen.

The couple were reportedly not in the home and were out of town at the time of the incident, but law enforcement sources don't believe the pair were targeted, the outlet notes. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

Hanks and Wilson aren't the only famous faces to have experienced a home invasion or burglary in recent memory. Last week, Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland revealed she "saw two masked men" burglarizing her L.A. home, while White Chicks star Marlon Wayans reacted to his own scary home invasion. Rapper Bhad Bhabie's L.A. home was also recently broken into, with thieves getting away with jewelry and handbags.
