Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's son Pax was rushed to the hospital following a horrific bike crash that occurred on July 29th. Information regarding his condition was not immediately available...until now.
According to People, the 20-year-old suffered "complex trauma" after slamming into a stopped car in heavy-traffic while riding his electric motor bike without a helmet. Bystanders present at the site of the crash assumed head and hip injuries as the child was taken to a nearby hospital to undergo tests and treatments. Pax spent a week in the ICU with his mother by his side (an unnamed source tells People) and is now facing a long recovery process.
"Pax has been released from the ICU. He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy."
The source also revealed that Pax and Jolie are extremely grateful for hospital personnel and the "outstanding" care and attention they've shown Pax since he arrived.
Jolie is not the only one who has stood by Pax's side through the aftermath of the scary crash. A few of his siblings have also visited the hospital to help take care of their brother as they are all "very close."
Pitt's involvement, including if he showed up at the hospital to tend to his son's well-being or attempted to contact him at all, remains unknown. The 20-year-old is one of six children (Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, Knox, 16, and Vivienne, 16) estranged exes Jolie and Pitt share.
Information regarding specific injuries Pax endured as a result of the terrible crash were not revealed as he proceeds to embark on a lengthy healing journey with his loved ones by his side.
