The free iHeart app is where to go to listen to exclusive play-by-play action of Team USA. To celebrate, we are spotlighting some of the country's athletes that are vying for gold.

Sarah Bacon, a former University of Minnesota athlete, has made her mark on the international stage by winning a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The 27-year-old diver, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and standing at 5-foot-5, partnered with Kassidy Cook to secure the United States' first medal of the Paris Olympics in the 3-meter synchronized springboard competition. This achievement marks the first time the U.S. has medaled in the event since 2012.

Bacon's journey to the Olympics is a testament to her dedication and skill. During her time at the University of Minnesota, she was a five-time NCAA and a four-time Big Ten Champion. She is the only woman in the university's history to have won three or more NCAA titles in any sport, making her the most decorated female athlete in the school's history.

According to MPR News, Bacon was the 2021 Big Ten Female Athlete of the Year. Her Olympic debut in Paris was not only a personal triumph but also a significant achievement for her alma mater, as she was one of three swimming and diving athletes to represent the University of Minnesota at the games.

From exclusive NBC play-by-play action of Team USA to live hourly updates from the Games to original Summer Games podcasts, you can listen to the Olympics stream only on iHeartRadio. Find out more about how to listen.
