Five arrests have been made in connection to Friends alum Matthew Perry's ketamine-related death, including two doctors and several dealers.
According to TMZ, texts detailing the price Perry would pay for the illegal drugs he obtained, and how they would be delivered to him, were found upon seizing electronic equipment from suspects.
The beloved actor was undergoing ketamine infusion therapy to ease symptoms of depression and anxiety last October, but the ketamine found in his system at the time of his passing was not prescribed by a doctor. Perry's death investigation, which remained ongoing for months following his tragic passing, involved not only doctors and dealers, but celebrities.
While specific A-listers were not cited, police dug up clues regarding celebrity involvement in the "Hollywood drug scene," and none were connected to Perry's death.
The Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing author was just 54 years old when he passed away on October 28, 2023, and was found unresponsive at his Los Angeles home. His death was initially ruled accidental, but investigations were reopened after the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined he died from the "acute effects of ketamine" sourced outside a medical facility.
"Ketamine Queen" Jasveen Sangha, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Dr. Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa (Perry's assistant), Dr. Mark Chavez, and dealer Erik Fleming, were all charged in connection with the actor's overdose that lead to his death (per NBC News).
