Ludacris Addresses Concerned Fans After He Drinks Water From Glacier

Ludacris wants fans to know he's feeling fine after he took a sip of frozen water from a glacier for the first time.

On Monday, August 26, the Atlanta native posted a video to Instagram of himself in front of a glacier during his time in Alaska. In the video, the self-proclaimed "water snob" explained that he had never tasted water directly from a glacier and couldn't leave the arctic state without trying it. After he drank the water, Luda was extremely hype about it. However, fans online who saw the video instantly mentioned the dangers of drinking glacial water.

"Pray for Luda, hope he didn’t drink any ancient bacteria," one fan wrote on X.

"You alive? Still bacteria and viruses in that water and lots of other things," another person commented.

According to Nature World News, there are several reasons why people shouldn't drink glacial water without boiling it or filtering it first. Bacteria such as microalgae, millimeter-sized creatures, and even human fecal matter are present in untreated glacial water. Fans were quick to point these facts out in the comment section of Luda's posts on X and Instagram. After people expressed their concern for the rapper-actor, Ludacris clarified that he "feels like Superman" and performed afterward without any issues.

"For everyone asking me how that glacier water really tasted, when I tell y'all — I'm a water snob — it was the best-tasting water I've ever had in my life," he said into the camera. "As I drank it, I felt like every cell in my human body was being hydrated and rejuvenated at the same damn time. I had the greatest show in Alaska after that."
