Megan Thee Stallion paid tribute to pop legend Britney Spears in the best way — by recreating one of her most iconic looks, slithering snake and all.

While pulling hosting duties at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, the "BOA" rapper wore a look like the one Spears wore while performing "Slave 4 U" at the 2001 VMAs, complete with a live albino python, per Page Six. However, unlike Spears who danced while holding the snake across her shoulders, Meg was over the reptile pretty quickly.

After valiantly posing with the snake and showing off the impressive recreation, she told handlers to "come get this snake," hilariously saying, "I don't know this snake, the snake don't know me."

Meg wasn't the only artist paying tribute to Spears. Tate McRae also took a page out of the pop icon's book with her red carpet look. The "Greedy" singer rocked a lacy, sheer black mini dress with black bra and underwear similar to the red carpet ensemble the "Womanizer" singer wore at the 2001 VMAs.

Hosted by the "HISS" rapper, the 2024 MTV VMAs featured performances from artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Halsey, Chappell Roan, LL Cool J, GloRilla, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Eminem and more. Don't miss out on seeing who took home awards during the big night, including Katy Perry, who was honored with the Video Vanguard Award.
