Do you feel like you live in a dangerous city? There's a possibility that you do, based on a new report that lists one destination in Arizona among the most dangerous places in the entire country.

Safe and Sound Security compiled a list of the 20 "most dangerous cities in America" in 2024, and one destination in Arizona found a spot on the list alongside cities like Memphis, St. Louis, New York City, Detroit and New Orleans, to name a few.

Ranking No. 17 overall, Phoenix has high rates of violent crime, with the most common crime being aggravated assault. Here's what Safe and Sound Security had to say about the safety issues concerning Phoenix:

"Phoenix, the fifth-largest city in the U.S., experiences a variety of challenges related to violent crime, particularly aggravated assaults. The latest crime data suggests a high violent crime rate of 8.23 per 1,000 people in Phoenix. The city's approach to tackling these issues involves a combination of law enforcement action and community outreach programs designed to prevent crime and protect victims. These efforts are crucial for maintaining safety and security in such a large metropolitan area."
