Maroon 5's Adam Levine On Why Megan Thee Stallion 'Fit The Bill' On Collab

Maroon 5's collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, "Beautiful Mistake," is anything but a mistake. So how did they artists get together to make this hit song? Adam breaks it down during Maroon 5's iHeartRadio Album Listening Party.

Levine recalled, "All the collabs kind of had different intentions for each one, I think. And Megan was the one where we were like, okay, who's it? Who's the rapper? We always try to do one of those. It's kind of like part of the Maroon 5 party is always like, we want to check in with who's really doing things that we love, and we think will really compliment a big single that we're releasing. And Megan just fit the bill so perfectly. It's like, we got other features on the record for other reasons, but this one, the intent is different."

Adam added, "We just thought she would be the perfect fit and she just absolutely murdered it. Did a great job."
