Brooks & Dunn “crashed” one of Lainey Wilson’s recent shows in Alpharetta, Georgia, the legendary duo said as they shared a video of that moment on Instagram on Monday evening (October 21).
“I cannot believe what’s about to happen,” Wilson told the crowd before she introduced Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. “These guys are my heroes. I cannot believe that I get to (welcome them) on stage tonight, Georgia. Y’all welcome Brooks & Dunn.”
Together, the trio delivered a rendition of “Play Something Country,” which Brooks & Dunn originally released in the early 2000s on Hillbilly Deluxe. Brooks & Dunn added the reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year to a reminded rendition of the hit song. That version is the first and only track that has released from Brooks & Dunn’s REBOOT 2 album — following 2019’s REBOOT — featuring new versions of previously-released songs as collaborations with other artists. others appearing on the project include Morgan Wallen, Marcus King Band, Megan Moroney, Warren Zeiders, Jelly Roll, Riley Green, The Cadillac Three, Halestorm, Mitchell Tenpenny, The Earls of Leicester, Jake Worthington, Hailey Whitters, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, HARDY, ERNEST, A Thousand Horses and Corey Kent.
