Bon Jovi were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame six years ago, and the honor meant the world to them.

Jon Bon Jovi and the band stopped by iHeartRadio ICONS to celebrate their 2018 induction, revealing exactly why the honor was so special to them.

"I never wanted to be in anybody's club, but it's a pretty cool club to be in, you know? I mean any place that the Beatles and Elvis and The [Rolling] Stones and you know, all the ones that created this art form called rock 'n' roll."

The "Bed of Roses" star continued, praising fans for sticking with them through the entirety of their "wild ride" that led them to their HOF induction.

"And to think the people that were our friends for the last three decades they didn't waste their time, energy, and faith in us to see it not come to fruition. Because this is just as much for those who followed us as it is for us."
