Blake Lively is such a huge fan of one famous director that she's had a signed poster of his hung on her wall for well over a decade and does not plan on removing it anytime soon!

The Gossip Girl alum opened up about the prized possession in a Sunday (November 3) Instagram post, highlighting her amazing experience at Los Angeles' annual LACMA Art + Film Gala the following evening, made even more special by "inspired" director Baz Luhrmann.

Lively expressed that Luhrmann (known around the world for the creation of films like Elvis, Romeo and Juliet, and The Great Gatsby) "was the first & only signed poster I was ever lucky enough to have on my wall when I was a teenager."

She continued:

"It’s still on my wall today. To know him will always be surreal. He’s even more mischievous and magical in real life. He’ll grab your hand and run away from the gala with you to do an impromptu photoshoot because he’s inspired by everything, your cape and a palm tree is all he needs to see thrill. He’ll enthusiastically play along when you ask to put your cape on him so you can take pictures of him in a pose that he has subliminally trademarked in every girl who grew up in the 90s mind."

The silver screen queen praised the visionary director for his creativity, unfiltered joy, and ability to make others happy. She concluded the flattering post by revealing that this year's LACMA Art + Film Gala was one she would never forget.

Aside the lengthy caption, Lively included a series of photos of herself in her stunning gala look (a sequined dress complete with a long, fabulous orange cape) as she enjoyed the night with friends and colleagues.
