Ed Sheeran Finally Reveals The Meaning Behind One Of His Most Popular Hits

Ed Sheeran is a big fan of life's little moments, especially those he enjoys with his wife, Cherry Seaborn. In fact, that's the whole idea behind his 2021 hit single "First Times."

The star told iHeartRadio that he gets more from small moments with his loved ones (that might seem insignificant at first), than huge career peaks like playing Wembley Stadium.

"So basically, I've kind of spent my entire life focused on career...and then I reached the top of the mountain in UK music which is Wembley Stadium. I played it and I came off stage and I was like 'ok what's next?' And I felt like... I mean the great thing about it is there is always something next and you carry on with your career and it definitely taught me that there are things more important to life than career."

The "Perfect" hitmaker continued, revealing the magic that happened AFTER his Wembley performance that inspired him most.

"And then I sat down with my wife and I opened a beer and she opened a beer and we just started having a conversation and I was like 'well this is awesome. I'm getting loads of feelings from this' and so I started writing a song."
