Justin Bieber Shares Insight Into Emotional Song About 'Loss'

Justin Bieber is sharing the meaning behind one of his big hits.

During a virtual iHeartRadio Album Listening Party, Bieber gave some insight into his song "Ghost," from his 2021 album Justice, an emotional track that he said is about "losing someone that you love."

"It can be a physical loss of someone moving on to, you know, go to Heaven, or it could be just losing someone in your life," he said. "People come and go in our life and I think 'Ghost' is one of those songs that kind of has that balance of mourning someone but also has the music progression that still makes you feel hopeful in that loss."

Elsewhere in the interview, Bieber talked about songwriting sessions with Shawn Mendes.
