Sydney Thomas, the ring girl who went viral during the Netflix boxing match between social media influencer Jake Paul and Boxing Hall of Famer and former undisputed world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, revealed that an SEC football coach slid into her DMs after her sudden fame.
Thomas, 21, appeared on the Like A Farmer Podcast and said the coach noticed that she was a student at the University of Alabama during the exchange.
“It was from another SEC football team coach and they just DM’d me, ‘Roll Tide,'” said Thomas when asked about the “craziest DM you’ve gotten” since going viral.
“I’m not going to say what coach it was but they’re an Alabama fan — now at least. We’ll let everyone else figure it out for themselves who it was.”
Thomas refused to reveal the coach's identity, or that of any other celebrities who recently reached out to her.
“I don’t feel like exposing them…I don’t need any negative publicity right now," Thomas said while laughing.
Thomas previously revealed that she gained more than 500,000 followers across all social media platforms since being shown during the live Netflix broadcast.
