Ye is preparing to release his next solo album this summer.
Following his eye-popping appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday night, February 2, the Chicago rapper held an afterparty where he debuted his interview with Justin Laboy. At one point during the conversation, Laboy asked when fans can expect to hear his upcoming LP BULLY. Ye revealed that he wants to drop the project on June 15, which is also his daughter North West's birthday.
"We're going to do it on [North's] birthday," Ye said. "That's when I'm bringing BULLY out because that's her favorite album so far."

Ye also previewed some unreleased music that may appear on the album. One song features Northie on the hook and samples The Diplomats' classic "I'm Ready." Ye also confirmed that he used AI to make the project. During the conversation, he explained he used AI the same way he used autotune for his previous hits. Ye also believes using the new technology for his upcoming album will help AI become more accepted in the music industry.
Later on, Ye touched on the ongoing beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. He agreed with Laboy when he asked, “So Kendrick killed Drake, he’s dead?” However, he also warned people not to underestimate Drizzy.
“Yeah, for now,” he replied. “You can’t ever count out Steph Curry. That man might hit two hundred points in one song or something... Drake added something to the algorithm, to our frequency. He advanced it … and now Kendrick has now advanced the frequency.”
