Social media users are buzzing over Snoop Dogg's appearance in an anti-hate campaign during the Super Bowl following his performance at a Donald Trump inauguration event.
On Sunday (February 9), Snoop appeared alongside former NFL star Tom Brady for an anti-hate public service announcement during the second quarter of the Super Bowl.
The ad showed the rapper and seven-time Super Bowl champion standing face to face as they shared what they "hate about each other."
“I hate you because we look different," Snoop said.
“I hate you because you pray different," Brady replied, to which the artist said, “Because you talk different.”
“’Cause you act different," the former football star responded.
“Because you’re just different," Snoop said.
The ad then cut away to a screen that read: “Then reasons for hate are as stupid as they sound.”
“Man, I hate that things are so bad that we had to do a commercial about it," Snoop said.
“Stand up to hate," the final screen read.
Several social media users shared their criticism of Snoop acting as an anti-hate spokesperson after he appeared at Trump's inauguration.
"This was the dumbest commercial of the Super Bowl. If Snoop Dog wanted to stand up to hate, he shouldn’t have sold out and performed at Trump’s inauguration," one X user wrote.

“Not sure Snoop Dogg fresh off performing at Trump’s inauguration is the best spokesperson for Stand Up To Hate [to be honest],” journalist Aaron Rupar tweeted.

Snoop Dogg lost the right to be apart of a commercial denouncing hate when he took money to perform for Trump. #SuperBowl pic.twitter.com/YOgnicL6Hn

tom brady and snoop dogg starring in a "stand up to hate" commercial while both being supporters and friends of donald trump is kinda the natural conclusion of "just be kind <3" messaging that refuses to engage with politics
