The White House sent out an apparent attack against immigrants across its social media platforms on Valentine's Day.
On Friday (February 14), the White House was among the countless organizations and companies that participated in the viral trend of sharing a Valentine's Day card tailored to its audience.
The White House's Valentine's Day card featured photos of President Donald Trump and border czar Tom Homan displayed on a pink background. The message that the official White House account shared alongside the photos on a day about love shocked social media users.
'Roses are red, violets are blue, come here illegally and we'll deport you,' the message read in an apparent attack against immigrants.

The Valentine aligned with the Trump administration's stance on immigration. It stood in stark contrast to the White House tradition started by former First Lady Jill Biden, who installed large candy heart displays on the North Lawn during her husband's administration.
Social media users swiftly condemned the White House's "disgusting" and "inhumane" messaging on Valentine's Day.

Your deportations are inhumane, they're killing the American economy and they're separating our families. https://t.co/aypSE9A2dA
Our official White House page posted this… THE WHITE HOUSE… disgusting and sick times we live in. https://t.co/WfveEKwYPM

Immigration is more than a meme. Real people, real lives, real struggles. Maybe it’s time for a more serious and humane discussion…!?

History—and future generations—will judge societies by how they treat the most vulnerable. Let’s ensure compassion is part of the equation, not…
the reputation of the white house and the US in general will never recover from the next 4 years of embarrassment we have to go through
