High School Track Star Clobbers Other Runner with Baton

A Virginia high school track meet is making headlines today thanks to a female 4 x 200 relay runner who smacked a competitor in the head with the relay baton!

The victim has been diagnosed with a concussion and possible skull fracture and the school is investigating.

The runner with the baton is claiming it was an accident - and Im certainly no expert- but it looks to me like she WOUND UP and clocked her?

The victim said she never got anything in the way of an apology from anyone - the opponent, her coach- or anyone.
