Books, music and art have traditionally accompanied society as it passes from one generation to the next, whether to guide, affirm or reject the mores of each, toward answering the larger questions such as:

 

Why do bad things happen to good people?

Where do we find protection during perilous times?

When leaders fail, who administers justice?

 

How many times have we invested hours in a book, movie or series, only to have the protagonist die or drift away into oblivion without any explanation, plot resolution or purpose? Seems we’ve lost our stories…and by extension our purpose, hope and sense of adventure.

 

How can society take a stand when even our stories are too afraid to do so?

 

The Dark World Saga is one author’s way of engaging with the culture as it is, while hoping to inspire glimpses of what it can be…tough – even brutal at times – but also restorative, regenerative & prescriptive.

 

The trilogy follows a group of friends coming of age in the Dark World of Tenebrae. While each are learning and refining skills from their chosen guilds, they find out that they must also refine their ability to discern wisdom, provide protection and serve justice, both individually and as a group…and not just against dark forces and figures around them, but also against their own pride.

 

Good and evil unambiguously exist in Tenebrae, often in unexpected places, and the battle is not just for power, but for the souls of all mankind.
