Man Arrested For Shooting Flare Gun Inside Walmart

Police in Kilgore in East Texas have arrested a man they say accidentally shot off a flare gun inside a local Walmart while trying to shoplift. It happened Saturday when police got a 9-1-1 call about a man trying to hide items while holding a gun. Just before police arrived at the scene, the flare gun was discharged. Police say Roy Mack Biggs of Longview then put the flare gun on a shelf and headed to the store's exit. Biggs was booked into the Gregg County Jail on charges of deadly conduct and theft of property.
