126th edition of My Random Thoughts: Sports, TV, music, food, life.....

Don't worry about things you don't care about.

The Season 2, Episode 2 of 'The Last Of Us' was one of the more unnerving, squirm on the couch, and head-turn-away TV episodes I can recall.

16 years ago this week I was pulling into the parking garage at work and my boss, Darryl Parks, asked if I wanted to be the new host of Sports Talk. Still hard to believe I'm hosting a show I grew up listening to and calling.

There will always be something about the feel of squaring up a baseball with a bat...be it in a game, batting cages or with your Johnny Bench Batter-Up.

We are experiencing Belle & The Bear tonight for the first time. Heard the place is outstanding for live music. Checking out my guys, Mojo Rizin'.

Independence is getting fine dining. Lookout...... "The Limestone" is being built as part of The Downs of Nicholson being developed.

I refuse to bag the grass, and I despise clumps of dead grass in the yard. It leaves me in a predicament.

Marty recommended the show "The Agency"....I offered him Special Ops: Lioness and Reacher.

Thunder rumbled while I was mowing this afternoon. Lighting and my pacemaker don't work well together.

With the faster pace of MLB games, and the horrific left field sun field at GABP, the Reds need to move the 6:40 start times back to 7:10. It not only doesn't serve a purpose, it's a detriment.

I appreciate the past, I don't resent/complain about the present being different.

Song I cranked up the radio to this week: "Jack and Diane" I'm a big John Mellencamp fan. We saw him at the Aronoff a couple of years ago. Go listen to 'Ain't' Even Done w/ the Night" and 'I Need A Lover". Excellent.

I've never been to the Kentucky Derby. I'm not convinced the two minutes are worth the drive, crowd, traffic, and chaos. Is it?

Bailey Zimmerman is a heck of a songwriter.

Remember popping that top off the Nestle Quick metal can and taking a scoop of chocolate mix for your milk?

I still have my Pinewood Derby box that I made for Cub Scouts.

I had a Chobani flip yogurt this week that had pop rocks in it. I felt like I was 10 years old, again.

We are headed to Madison, IN for another day trip. Love, love, love that town. Good people and places.

While in Madison, we are attending Emo Night (Taylor's Version) at Mad Paddle Brewing. Don't ask.
