Cynthia Erivo Says She Wants To Work With Kendrick Lamar & Doechii

Cynthia Erivo wants to work with Kendrick Lamar and Doechii in the future.

The singer-actress revealed her dream collaborations during an interview Real 92.3's The Cruz Show released on Wednesday, April 30. Erivo admitted she's spoken about her wish to join forces with the "Not Like Us" rapper in the past, but she can't help mentioning it while she was in Lamar's hometown.

"I really want to work with Kendrick Lamar," she said. "I keep saying it over and over again, but I really mean it. Not just as a fan but I think his work, his creativity, the way his brain works, I think, is sublime."

"And Doechii," she continued. "She and I, I think, would really love it because the theatrics are there and the understanding of movement and sound. I just think we'll have a good time... Having met her several times at this point, she's just a really cool person."

Erivo also talked about the producers she'd like to work with. One of them is Dr. Dre, whom she met at the Grammys earlier this year. She also said she'd love to work with Mustard. Later in the conversation, the Wicked star also talked about performing with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Coachella. She explained how nervous she was about performing at a festival, especially as massive as Coachella, for the first time.
