Netflix Child Actress Millena Brandao Dead At 11

Brazilian child actress Millena Brandão, best known for roles in the soap opera The Childhood of Romeo and Juliet and the Netflix series Sintonia, has died at the age of 11, her parents revealed in posts shared on her official Instagram account.

Brandão was hospitalized in São Paulo for severe headaches last Wednesday (May 30) and diagnosed with a brain tumor, according to a post shared by her mother on Instagram. The child actress was also reported to have suffered at least 12 heart attacks while hospitalized, according to multiple reports via the New York Post.

“The memories we spent together will remain in my memory and I'll never forget your joy that was contagious to everyone around you," Brandão's mother wrote in a translated Instagram post.. "My girl, I'm already missing you not being here and I know I'll miss you even more in the days to come.You were the light in our lives and I know that from up there you'll continue to watch over us and light up our lives. And I'll love you forever, and you'll always be in my heart.”

Several Instagram followers paid tribute after the child star's death.

“My God, what a pain. How sad. As a mother, my heart bleeds," one user wrote.

“Rest in peace beautiful. We will miss you a lot - seeing you always shining. Now you will shine in the sky. It was great to know you," another posted.
