Kim Kardashian's arrival at the 2025 Met Gala had an awkward start after someone accidentally stepped on her dress.
The SKIMS founder went all out with her all-black outfit for the annual event on Monday (May 5), but before she even made it to the carpet, she had a near-miss wardrobe issue when one of her bodyguards stepped on the train of her custom-made outfit, per Page Six.
The interaction occurred as the Kardashians star and her 11-year-old daughter North West were leaving the Ritz-Carlton hotel in New York City to head over to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. As she walked out of the hotel surrounded by paparazzi and fans, a guard tripped over the back of her dress, causing Kardashian to stumble slightly and reach out to the man, as seen in a video shared to TikTok.
The video doesn't capture what Kardashian said as she looked back to the man, with her wide-brim hat covering a large portion of her face, but an expert lip reader posited to the Mirror that she scolded the man with, "Can you watch where you step?"
For this year's dress code "Tailored For You" for the theme "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," Kardashian wore a form-fitting corseted leather two-piece Chrome Hearts set in a black crocodile-print that featured cutouts on the back of the off-the-shoulder top and a skirt with a long train. She accessorized the look with her stylish hat, stacked Moussaieff diamond necklaces with matching earrings and two strands of pearls draped along her hip, according to E! News.
