Why Timothee Chalamet Didn't Join Girlfriend Kylie Jenner At The Met Gala

Timothèe Chalamet did not accompany his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, to this year's Met Gala on Monday (May 5) evening.

According to Page Six, the Wonka actor enjoyed a sporty night indoors with a few friends instead of dressing to the nines for this year's Met Gala theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, with his plus one.

Chalamet shared a series of stories on his Instagram Story while Jenner was at the event, displaying the New York Knicks vs Boston Celtics game on an iPad. He also posted a snap of himself smiling with a few friends as they enjoyed the game.

Jenner, who has dated the Dune actor for two years, showed up to the illustrious event solo (with a few of her sisters present), wearing a stunning mesh, suited dress with matching gloves and heels. The Kylie Cosmetics founder was gorgeous (per usual), but she endured some discomfort to achieve the look, resorting to taping her shoes to her feet.

"Max told me to tape my feet into the shoe. And now my feet are stuck in these shoes," she revealed in an Instagram Story before letting out a subtle "ow."
