How to Feel More Confident

May 7, 2025

There are a lot of stories and surveys in the news about anxiety and depression. With all the political angst and the economic times being what they are, it’s probably understandable.

And some suggest say it has led to a feeling of having a lack of confidence among Americans about their jobs and their lives.

According to a recent survey, having confidence is even more important than you might think and most people are in need of more of it.

In a poll of some 2,000 adults, nearly 85-percent said they can make a bad day good, and a good day even better when they feel confident.

The survey found that the average adult needs at least 16 confidence boosters a month to feel their best. That’s a boost of confidence every other day.

Those polled said those confidence boosters include things like getting genuine praise for something they’ve done, achieving an unexpected goal, getting a compliment on their smile, or having someone ask them for advice because you’re reliable.

The survey found that having more confidence increases your self-esteem and can make you not only happier but more effective.

This poll suggests that doing those little things to help boost someone else’s confidence, and yours, is all it takes.
