WATCH: Jadakiss Narrates Powerful Ad To Promote JustUs Ideas Week

Jadakiss has teamed up with JustUs Ideas to help reshape society's approach to justice.

On Thursday, May 8, JustUs Ideas debuted its first-ever ad, voiced by The LOX rapper, to promote its upcoming JustUs Ideas Week next month. The video is a montage of athletes, artists, and celebrities who overcame the struggles caused by America's damaged judicial system, like Michael Vick, Gucci Mane, Martha Stewart, Jelly Roll, and the late Nipsey Hussle.

"We are more than our mistakes," Jadakiss says, "more than the weight of the past written for us. We have taken what tried to hold us down and turned it into something unshakable."

JustUs Ideas' partnership with Jadakiss aims to help amplify the voices of justice-impacted individuals and promote its inaugural JustUs Ideas Week in Philadelphia. The mission is to bring together directly impacted individuals, changemakers, and innovators in a bold effort to reimagine justice. The event, which is happening June 9-13, will feature four days of activations including daily dialogues led by justice-impacted leaders, a democracy forum focusing on voting rights and political representation, and a demo day for justice-impacted entrepreneurs.

There will be a debate in partnership with Bard Prison Initiative and cultural experiences like "A Taste of JustUs" which spotlights formerly incarcerated chefs. JustUs Ideas Week will also host a women's bruncheon called "Her Blueprint," which will honor female leaders who are innovating and leading the fight for criminal justice reform. You can also expect to experience live podcast tapings, performances, art showcases plus special guests like Angie Martinez, Angela Yee, Prophet Walker, Chef Keith Corbin and more.
