A Message for Kids of All Moms

Mother’s Day is Sunday and that means the florists and greeting card stores are flooded with sons and daughters…and husbands…,making sure they show Mom a little love.

Restaurants are packed as families take Mom out for a day of rest.

Now any Mom knows, that whether you’re a stay at home mom (and there are more of them now than there were a few years ago) or whether you have another job outside the home….there is no such thing as a day of rest.

She may be able to take some time for herself, but for moms, they’re always on, always thinking about their kids and how to help them or discipline them or train them.

Moms know that the Proverb about training a child in the way they should go so they retain those values through life is important.

Henry Ward Beecher put it this way, “The mother’s heart is the child’s schoolroom.”

For the rest of us non-Moms, something for us to remember is that while cards and flowers are nice, just making a point to talk to mom and tell her how thankful you for her…can mean more than the most expensive gift you could find.
