One of the prosecution's main witnesses never wanted to be a part of Diddy's sex trafficking case.

According to a report TMZ published on Thursday, May 8, one of the Jane Does who was included in the indictment against Sean "Diddy" Combs never cooperated with prosecutors at all. The woman, who's one of Combs' ex-girlfriends, didn't even inform the feds that she would show up to the trial, let alone take the witness stand to testify. The update comes days after lead prosecutor Maurene Comey told the court that she wasn't sure if the witness would make it to the trial.

During jury selection earlier this week, Comey explained that the woman doesn't live in New York. Her team had issues getting in touch with the woman's lawyer and wasn't sure if she would appear in court, even though she was subpoenaed. Comey told Judge Arun Subramanian she planned to briefly mention the woman in her opening statements, but wouldn't describe her story in full until the second half of the trial. It's not clear whether or not the witness will be mentioned moving forward, which might be a bad look for the prosecution as the trial gets under way next week.

Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura and the other Jane Doe are still expected to take the witness stand during the trial. Cassie was identified as "Victim 1" several months ago and agreed to testify in public. The other woman will remain anonymous throughout the trial.

Jury selection was supposed to wrap up today following a three-day search for jurors. However, the defense motioned to delay the final steps of the process until Monday. Prosecutors will be allowed to dismiss six potential jurors from a pool of 45 New Yorkers, while defense lawyers get to remove 10 people. The process is expected to last less than an hour and will occur right before opening statements on Monday, May 12.
