Rap Rising: Tee Grizzley Returns With New Single Ahead Of Anticipated Album

Tee Grizzley bares his soul in a powerful new single from his anticipated album.

The Detroit rapper takes us to church on his latest track "My God" produced by Helluva. He begins the uplifting banger by sharing some useful advice his family gave him recently.

"Please, stay focused, don't get tricked off the streets/You know so many depending on you," he croons on the chorus. "I'm already knowin', I'm trying my best/I'm not perfect, believe me/Yeah, God made me with flaws, put his name in my songs/Put my pain in his palms, my God/I'm gon' always stand tall through the rain and the storm, Don't leave me out here alone, my God."

Tee Grizzley brings his family's encouraging words to life in the song's official visuals. In the music video directed by Jerry Productions, Grizzley tells the story of a lost soul who didn't take his people's advice. The young man embraces life in the streets and eventually ends up in jail. After he gets out, he gets caught up with the wrong people and almost loses his life. In the end, he does listen to his family and finally leaves the street life behind.

"My God" sits at the top of iHeartRadio's Rap Rising playlist this week. The song dropped ahead of Tee Grizzley's upcoming LP Forever My Moment. The album drops May 16.
