My Weekend: Mothers Day, Sunrise, a Furniture Debacle, and I SAW JESUS!
May 12, 2025
Let's start with a little left over from last week. As usual, I took a bit of heat for being a bird guy - but I don't give a ****.
And to prove it- take THIS, bird haters!
Beautiful cardinal taking off from my bird feeder pole! Booya!
So I started off the weekend on Friday when our Brew Crew headed for the new La Dolce Vita Ristorante in Dover! The food was delicious, and its run by Adeel, who's the host when you walk in. Great guy, and he and I go wayyyy back to the Cafe Mediterranean in Portsmouth! Food was delicious- try the Seafood Fra Diavlo!
Saturday was a rainy so I sat around and watched Daisy look out the window!
Then it was off to Manchester where we met up with our niece Avery to see JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at The Palace!
As a long time fan of this musical (Which, by the way- I know almost all the words to!!), I must say - this show WAS INCREDIBLE! It's a rock show, for sure- and all of the voices and characters were total money! Congrats to the entire staff of performers and technicians- everything about this play crushed. Too bad the run ended Sunday- because you missed a great night!
Hit up Kittery Trading Post on Saturday too. Can never get enough of that place.
Sunday morning I headed out to shoot early- at 3am, since we hadn't seen the sun in what felt like weeks! I havent gone thru the images yet- but heres a couple from my phone when i was out at Bald Head Cliff in York!
It was a beautiful morning - but I had a 730am appointment with these guys for breakfast-
Then it was straight home to do all the yardwork Ive been putting off. In addition- I had to put together a patio set we got for Valerie's Mothers Day -
It was no problem until the last piece- a love seat. The holes for the bolt/screw were about 1/2 in off the mark - so I tried everything and let me tell you something- when I m doing thi shit and it aint going well - I unleash a torrent of cussword that would make a mechanic faint, and a sailor star blankly in amazement. I was swearing at that friggin thing because I was so pissed that it was impossible to fix- given that little piece of s*** allen wrench horse-sh** they sent with it! Ugh - I HATE those things.
And last but not least- dinner with the kids and and their significant others! It was a perfect end to the weekend, and a perfect way to end Mothers Day-
