Al B. Sure! is coming out swinging against Sean "Diddy" Combs after the veteran artist said he was subpoenaed to testify in Combs' trial.

The singer-songwriter opened up about the subpoena during his interview with FOX 5 on Friday, May 9. Al B. Sure!, born Albert Joseph Brown III, said he's currently discussing the possibility of testifying against Combs during the trial. The artist made the revelation after he claimed his late ex, Kim Porter, didn't die of pneumonia.

“I was subpoenaed," he said. "My attorneys worked something out. So, I believe when the time is right, you know, I’m going to discuss it with my attorneys."

Al B. Sure! was there to talk about his upcoming tell-all book "Do You Believe Me Now?" which details his harrowing medical episode, his late first wife Kim Porter, and his thoughts about Combs' alleged involvement in her death and his near-death experience. The singer was hospitalized in 2022 after he experienced multi-system organ failure and was left in a coma for two months. After discussing the discourse surrounding his illnesses, Al B. Sure! was asked if he believed Combs had something to do with his coma.

“I believe this to be the case," he replied. "Yes. Absolutely. My first time saying it.”

As of this report, the prosecution has not confirmed whether or not Al B. Sure! will take the witness stand. Combs' trial is set to begin today with opening statements after 12 jurors were selected earlier this morning. The trial is expected to last until July.
