Reba McEntire will return to The Voice alongside fellow returning coaches Niall Horan, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé, NBC revealed on Monday morning (May 12).

McEntire served as a coach for the first time in 2023, after fellow Oklahoma-born country artist Blake Shelton’s departure from the show. McEntire previously served as a Battle Advisor and Mega Mentor on The Voice. The “I’m A Survivor” superstar is one of several country artists to take a seat in an iconic red chair on the competition show, along with Shelton, duo Dan + Shay and current coach Kelsea Ballerini. McEntire left a heartfelt, handwritten note and a gift for Ballerini when she made her debut as a coach this season.

“I love to encourage,” McEntire said of her experience on The Voice in a recent interview with iHeartCountry. “I can’t tell anybody, ‘Don’t do this. Go get a job. You’re not suited for this.’ But the way that we get to do the – I don’t say critique – advice, it’s helpful advice. It’s not tear-down. We want to lift up. We want to inspire. We want to encourage, not tear down. They get enough of that out there in the world.”

McEntire will return as a coach on The Voice — along with Horan, Snoop Dogg and Bublé — in the show’s 28th season. The season is set to kick off this fall. The premiere date has not been announced as of publication time.
