Tory Lanez Reportedly Rushed To Hospital After Being Stabbed In Prison

Tory Lanez has been rushed to a local hospital after he was stabbed in prison.

The incarcerated artist was shanked by another inmate on Monday morning, May 12, while he was in the yard at California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi. According to TMZ, a law enforcement source said Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, suffered from a non-life-threatening injury and had to be taken to a hospital in Bakersfield. There's no word on what prompted the attack as of this report. The Alone at Prom singer had just posted a new photo of himself behind bars a few days before the stabbing.

Tory Lanez is serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the feet following a party at Kylie Jenner's home in California. He was convicted on all charges in December 2022. Lanez was sentenced to a decade behind bars in August 2023 following a brief delay and challenges to his conviction. Even though he's serving his sentence, the legal battle between Megan and Tory hasn't ended yet.

The "BOA" rapper is in the middle of a civil lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper, whom she claims assisted Lanez in a coordinated smear campaign. Meg was recently granted a restraining order that requires Lanez to stay 100 yards away from her. The order also prohibits him from threatening, harassing, intimidating, or disturbing her peace by any means necessary. Last month, Meg's legal team asked a judge to consider holding Lanez in contempt of court after the imprisoned rapper was slightly hostile during their deposition with him for the lawsuit.
