Kim Kardashian thought she was going to die when she was robbed at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.
The SKIMS mogul testified in court on Tuesday (May 13), tearfully zooming in on the terrifying incident nine years later in front of the 10 suspects on trial.
"I came to Paris for Fashion Week, and Paris is always a place that I love so much. I always felt really safe. I'd stop in little hotels for hot chocolate. It was magical. But when I came for Fashion Week during that trip, it changed everything," Kardashian began, per the BBC.
The star revealed that she mistook the "grandpa robbers" for police officers when she entered her hotel room. The men bound and gagged her and held a gun to her back. She thought about running, but soon realized it "wasn't an option."
"At that point, I was sure that's when they were going to shoot me. So I said a prayer for my family, my mom, my sister, and best friend. I absolutely did think I was gonna die."
In a previous testimony, Simone Harouche, her childhood friend and former stylist, revealed she heard the mother-of-four "screaming in terror" from her room, per E!News.
The robbers got away with an estimated $10 million worth of jewelry, including her $4 million wedding ring from then-husband Kanye West, and left the reality TV icon in the room with her ankles tied. The Kardashians standout called her mother, Kris Jenner, after seeking refuge in the bushes on the balcony.
During her testimony, Kardashian unveiled that she "forgives" 72-year-old suspect Yunice Abbas, who apologized for causing her trauma during his testimony last month.
This is not the first time the star has detailed the terrifying incident. In a 2017 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she revealed she thought the men were going to rape her when they "threw her on the bed" and took her phone.
"I slid off my bed and picked up my phone, and I'm like, 'I don't know how to call 9-11 in a different country. The guy came in, grabbed the phone from me, threw me on the bed, and I was like, 'This is it.'"
