Tory Lanez’s Condition Revealed After He Was Stabbed 14 Times In Prison

Tory Lanez is in "good spirits" after he was stabbed multiple times while in prison.

On Monday, May 12, Lanez's team updated fans about the artist's condition as he recovered in the hospital. The statement said Lanez was stabbed by another inmate 14 times, including "7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head, and 1 to the left side of his face." Lanez was placed on a breathing device after both of his lungs collapsed following the stabbing. However, he's now breathing on his own and speaking normally.

"Despite being in pain, he is talking normally, in good spirits, and deeply thankful to God that he is pulling through," the statement said. "He also wants to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support."

According to TMZ, Lanez was stabbed at 7:20 a.m. while he was in the yard at the California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi. At the time, officials claimed Lanez suffered from "non-life-threatening injuries." He was rushed to a nearby hospital before he was airlifted to Kern Medical Hospital in Bakersfield.

Tory Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. He was taken into custody after he was convicted in December 2022 and has remained behind bars ever since. During his stint in prison, Lanez managed to record and release new music, including Lost Cause and his recent project PETERSON.
