Joey Badass Addresses West Coast Beef On Freestyle With Ab-Soul & Big Sean

Joey Bada$$ revisited his beef with West Coast artists on his incredible freestyle with Ab-Soul and Big Sean.

On Tuesday, May 13, Red Bull dropped its latest Red Bull Spiral Freestyle featuring all three Blog Era rappers. Sean Don stepped up to the mic first before Soulo kicked his verse and told Sean, "Ask Néné who her favorite rapper is" in reference to the mother of his child Jhené Aiko. The friendly lyrical exercise took a turn after Joey Bada$$ grabbed the mic. He closed out with a verse that had every rap fan, including LeBron James, cheering for the face of Pro Era.

"First off, I could never hate the West Coast/But since n***as comin' for Joe, f**k it then, let's go," Joey spits. "N***as must've forgot what Dot said on 'Control'/There’s still a buncha sensitive rappers in they pajama clothes, I guess/This ain't no East versus West/I just think that I'm the best, as a matter fact, I know."

Later, Joey Badass shifts his focus to battle rapper Daylyt and TDE signee Ray Vaughn. Both California natives dropped diss tracks aimed at Joey after he released his bombshell single “The Ruler's Back" earlier this year. In response, Joey went in on Day and Ray with some scathing bars.

"I ain't gotta book no flight, I'm still gon' pack 'Lyt," Joey raps. "I'm overheads like a carry on and ain't been checked yet/I'm done playin', I popped out like a cassette deck/Respect that, they hanging on every bar, tell 'em hang tight/Get ya muscle up 'fore you think of steppin' to Swank White/I'm up early on the grind, I shine through the late night/I ain't gotta lose no sleep to break Daylyt/Shouldn't give you n***as time of day/But f**k it, shine a light on 'em, I'mma light Ray/Now how can I say this all in a nice way?/If you need the attention, tell Top he gotta pay."
