Snoop Dogg has responded to comments Fat Joe made about Kendrick Lamar dominating the airwaves over rappers like himself and 2Pac.

On Wednesday, May 14, Uncle Snoop stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk about his upcoming album Iz It A Crime. During their conversation, Charlamagne Tha God brought up comments Fat Joe made and his and Jadakiss' new podcast, in which Joe said K.Dot's songs are being played more than other rappers from L.A. like Snoop and 'Pac.

"Kendrick Lamar gets played 9 out of every 10 songs in L.A. right now," Joe said. "Not even Snoop Dogg, not even 2Pac Shakur, nobody from L.A. has dominated the paint."

"He can't say that. He not from the West Coast," Snoop said in response. "That's no disrespect. That's just facts. You can't say that because you not from the West Coast. You would have to ask the West Coast. That's like me coming out here and saying that 'JAY-Z ain't the king or whoop whoop.' I don't know who run New York. This y'alls, but I do know when it comes to the West Coast everybody riding with Kendrick, hands down, and it been that way. So he is the king. That is no doubt."

"As far as what Fat Joe said, you would have to ask the whole West Coast," he continued. "Because you got certain people from the Bay who would ride with the Bay. So it's like we love what we love, but you can't say that if you not from that. I couldn't come out here and say 'who's the king of New York when I don't live here and I don't have a personal opinion from the people who actually run New York."

It's no love lost between Snoop and Joe Crack. Fat Joe and Jadakiss' podcast has been picking up steam since it launched earlier this month. The duo partnered with The Volume and Roc Nation to launch their show, which will focus on sports, music and culture. Look out for new episodes dropping weekly.
